We saw the new Ford Mustang live in Barcelona in early December 2013, but the first official presentation was made in Detroit – NAIAS 2014. The new Ford Mustang Fastback and Cabrio are among the top new models presented in the American show room, with their design to preserve the timeless styling cues, such as jaws on the front, long sculptured bonnet, the short rear the low ceiling height and three dimensional rear lights with three bars on each side.

In the most spacious interior the changes compared to the previous Mustang are larger, with large bodies in front of the driver and aircraft type cockpit. Top choice so far is the range in a 5 liter, V8 engine that delivers more than 426 horsepower, while lower is the new 2.3 EcoBoost Turbo, 4-cylinder direct injection petrol power will exceed 309 PS. In the U.S. there is another engine, 3I V6 but not introduced to Europe after the performance is similar to the 2.3 EcoBoost.

The new Mustang takes a large number of technologies that offer upgraded driver information, control and connectivity when needed. On winding roads or track days, the driver can use the «toggle» switches on the console to adjust the power steering, the engine response and operation of transmission and electronic stability control through Selectable Drive Modes, modulating Mustang style driving desires. Of course, advanced driver assistance systems include the familiar Ford SYNC.
