Nissan unveiled the new representative of the compact class of the 5 door hatchback family cars. A category which was absent for several years after the previous representative of the model Almera. The new family hatchback model of the Japanese brand is the Pulsar. Nissan launched the manufacturing philosophy of the Pulsar, the technological innovations which has equipped and revealed the technical features that kept completely secret until the last moment. Following the same design pattern with the crossovers of the brand, the Pulsar features large wheels, the conical type waistline and the flowing profile, shaping an elegant and sporty appearance.
Thanks to the longest wheelbase in its class and smart layout, Pulsar offers considerably more legroom for rear passengers and at shoulder height, compared to competitor models. In fact, with 692 mm of useable legroom for rear passengers, the Pulsar is more spacious than several models of the D class. The premium approach to the construction and equipment continues inside the Pulsar, where the high quality of materials, the clear guidance on the design but also the high equipment, rank the car at levels much higher than the category. The Pulsar, with a length of 4,385 mm, is a modern compact car which makes it easy to park in tight urban environment.
The new Pulsar is equipped with a number of functional and useful technologies, which are commonly found on premium or luxury models. An example is the advanced safety system Safety Shield of Nissan, which consists a set of systems and technologies that combine to offer a complete and comprehensive safety net for the driver and passengers. Among the systems offered in the new Pulsar is the emergency braking system (Forward Emergency Braking), the Moving Obstacle Detection System, the Warning sharp lane changes and Blind Spot Warning.
Additionally, the Pulsar features the second generation NissanConnect system, accompanied by a range of innovative features such as full connectivity with smartphones, the Google Send-to-Car and access to a wide variety of useful and informative apps. Another advanced technology that has been incorporated into the design of Pulsar are the LED headlamps.
The Nissan Pulsar is driven by two turbo engines that combine the optimum performance and economy. Specifically, the 1.2 liter DIG-T petrol engine delivers impressive for its size, power of 115PS, while the diesel 1.5 liter dCi produces 110PS and 260Nm of torque. The Pulsar will be offered in versions with advanced XTRONIC automatic transmission Nissan.
