Even the studio Pininfarina is presented at the IAA 2013 with a world premiere of its creation. It is a new sports car born from the historic collaboration between Ferrari and Pininfarina: the Ferrari 458 Special.

The new berlinetta with a mid-rear V8 engine has been designed with the aim of improving performance and driving pleasure at the highest level, guaranteeing ease of control in every situation.

The 458 Special comes from the Ferrari philosophy of innovation and technological research of extreme, in areas powertrain, aerodynamics and vehicle dynamics which has produced results that make “Special” a car already exceptional as the 458 Italy, giving rise to a concept totally new sportscar by being essential and without compromise.
The aerodynamic requirements have guided the work of the designers, who carved the shape of it to be more functional than ever to performance. It stand out in this sense, the front and rear mobile solutions are load balancing and reducing aerodynamic resistance oriented, which helps making the 458 the Special aerodynamically efficient series-production car in the history of Ferrari.
