It may look like a trampled Corvette, its design is radical though, as it increases the aerodynamics and reduces fuel consumption. The efficiency and economy also count a lot when you have to manage the largest commercial fleet of trucks in the world. That’s why the American supermarket chain Walmart entered the drawing board to develop innovative forms of trucks, which will allow it to move faster and cheaper. And his name, WAVE, a truck Concepts proudly showing the future of transport in a perfect partnership with Walmart Peterbilt, Great Dane Trailers and Capstone Turbine. The low profile of the WAVE is however responsible for 20% more aerodynamic than existing trucks. And of course we have before us the first Trailer of carbon in the world! And despite the astronomical number of 16 meters, the body conserves 1,800 pounds total weight.
Inside, the driver sits in the center of the cabin, styled like Formula 1, and is surrounded by control centers with screens LCD. And of course in the back of a fully functional hosted bedroom. The movement gets through advanced turbine hybrid and all, electric motor battery, with the combustion engine can burn oil, natural gas and biodiesel. To save fuel is not yet reason, but even profit from enhanced aerodynamics can be huge for Walmart, the chain’s 6,000 trucks! Every gallon of fuel that escapes may therefore have a colossal impact on the economy. The actual numbers are certainly not even matter because the battleship is about the time in prototype stage. You might not ever come out on the road, says CEO of giant Walmart, Doug McMillon, but will allow us to test new technologies and new approaches. The supply chain is also a very crucial component of modern business sector and Walmart has understood this well.
