The prototype was presented for the Europeans in Germany and the German company will start producing in the next few months (till the first half of 2013). The car will come with a modern design and technology.
Following its world premiere at the Beijing Motor Show, this morning the Mercedes Center diMilano also presented in Italy and the rest of Europe the Style Concept Coupé. The prototype of a five-seater, which will be produced as standard with the name CLA will arrive in the first half of 2013. “It will bring back the love for sedans,” was one of the slogans used by the men of the house in Stuttgart during the presentation.
Born on the same floor of Class A and Class B, this car features a modern design and comes with the distinctive bonnet integrated into the front grille with the diamond effect, or the incisive headlights design with the innovative indicators. Thanks to Michele Paganetti who is responsible for the design center in Como, there was much talk of interiors which were made with Alcantra for the glossy white leather and carbon fiber.
A feature of the prototype are the illuminated air vents, but they will not be incorporated in the standard car. The Style Concept Coupé is powered by the 2.0 liter 211 hp four-cylinder and it will have a four-wheel drive, but the dates of submission of CLA have not yet been defined: yet to be decided if the world premiere will be in Detroit or Geneva, while in Italy could reach Salone del Mobile in Milan, as they did this year with the Class A cars.
