Rumors circulated that Audi is working on a new sports model, the S3 Plus, which will join the model range between the S3 and the upcoming RS3, while delivers 380 horsepower with 2liter, 4cylinder engine. According to reports, the German company wants to create a more powerful S3, the S3 Plus, which will be even more enhanced horsepower and hit the AMG versions of Mercedes.
More specifically, the S3 has a 2liter TFSI, 4cylinder that delivers 300 horsepower and 380 Nm of torque, while the new version RS3 is expected to launch with the 2.5 liter, 5cylinder engine, standard Euro 6, which gives about 400 horsepower. Between these two versions, Audi thinks of releasing an S3 Plus, which will bring the same engine, the S3 version has codenamed EA888, but certain interventions, so the 2liter motor to become the most powerful that has ever been released, as the people of Audi point out.
Thus, desire is the Audi S3 Plus to deliver 380 horsepower and nearly 500 Nm of torque, once the corresponding 2liter, AMG motor produces 360 horsepower and 450 Nm of torque. Finally, the reports indicate that the S3 Plus can be launched even in the year, or at the latest early 2015, while the RS3 version is expected to debut at the Geneva show in March.
