A month and a half after the preview at the Geneva Motor Show, Skoda announced the news for the Octavia MY 2013. The “compact” in Mlada Boleslav is developed on the platform of the Volkswagen Golf Volkswagen MQB 7. Skoda Octavia MY 2013 is declined on five engines (three petrol and two turbodiesel) and three trim levels: “Active”, “Ambition” and “Elegance”. To signal the arrival of the little 1.2 TSI with 85 HP. The car is renewed inside and outside and is perfect for professional use and this is a good reason for car leasing.
The cabin features an advanced infotainment system with touchscreen, 5.8 “(optional 8”). The equipment includes the Automatic Parking Assistant, the “Driving Mode Selection” button in the Lane Assistant for the maintenance on the road, the braking function multiple collision “Multicollision – braking”, the Activity Assistant Driver fatigue recognition, the proactive protection “Crew Protect Assistant” for passengers, the active bonnet pedestrian protection and for the first time Adaptive Cruise Assistant (system which automatically maintains a set distance from the vehicle ahead).
Skoda is launching new models for 2013 and this Skoda Octavia MY 2013 is offered with five engines, divided between petrol (three) and turbo (two). The range of gasoline engines includes the interesting news of the 1.2 TSI with 85 hp and 160 Nm of torque (mated to 5-speed manual), the 1.2 TSI 105 hp “Green Tec” with 105 hp and 175 Nm, 6-speed manual transmission, the 1.4 TSI “Green Tec” 140 hp and 250 nm (which is also coupled to a 6-speed manual transmission) and the 1.8 TSI with 180 hp and 250 Nm (available optionally with speed manual or 6-speed DSG dual-clutch 7-speed).
The diesel versions are divided on the proven 1.6 TDI offered in versions 105 hp – 250 Nm with 5-speed manual gearbox or optionally 7-speed DSG, and if you choose a good contract hire you can get the more powerful 2.0 TDI 150 hp – 320 Nm of torque offered with manual transmission 6-speed or 7-speed DSG. On a second step, the Octavia range will be expanded with the arrival of versions 1.2 TSI 105 hp and 1.4 TSI 140 hp (both with 7-speed DSG), and on the side of diesel, the 1.6 TDI 90 hp and 110 “Green Line “(both with manual transmission, respectively, to 5 and 6-speed).
The prices of Skoda octavia MY 2013 will be announced later, but should be on the level of the current range, which starts from 19,580 euro (1.2 TSI 105 CV “Active”).
