The VW presented in Geneva Motor Show a new compact SUV model in its original form, the T-ROC, while the CEO of the brand seem confident of success. According to the CEO of VW, Martin Winterkorn, the new prototype T-ROC is to increase the range of the German SUV brand, while feeling confident about his success, when he finally received the green light for production. More specifically, Winterkorn said he’s going to ask the public to view the original compact SUV model and if the respond has positive comments, which is almost sure, then they will build it. The same view about the future of T-ROC has the head of the development department of VW, Heinz-Jakob Neusser, since I believe that a crossover with the specific dimensions can magnetize several potential buyers worldwide.
It should be noted that according to statistics, in Europe increased by 78% the percentage of crossover models last year. Bear in mind that the original crossover bears a striking blue color, a special grille and luminaires type LED. Steps on an 19 inch aluminum wheels and its dimensions are 4,179 mm long, 1,831 mm width and 1,501 mm height. Of course the interior has original being should be impressed, but the German marque kept the low profile, he is equipped with basic features without glaring touches. The living room is lined with leather and the dashboard using a 12.3 inch screen. What is worth noting is that the center console dominates a tablet, which is used as an infotainment system model, and can be removed and the driver to take him. Under the hood of the VW T-ROC is the diesel engine 2 liter engine TDI, which delivers 184 horsepower and 380 Nm of torque.
The mechanical set is combined with automatic dual clutch 7 speed DSG, while equipped with 4 wheel drive system 4MOTION. The total weight of this concept reaches 1,420 pounds and the procedure 0-100 can complete it in 6.9 seconds, while the top speed of 210 km/hr. Note that the diesel is quite economical, since it consumes just 4.9 lt/100 km and CO2 emissions are 129 g/km.
