The people of Porsche revealed the revamped version of the Cayenne, before its official debut in October at the Paris exhibition. The designers of the company made several changes to the front of the Cayenne, the most important is the redesign of the radiator grille, bumper, luminaires and bonnet, with the end result giving the Cayenne more angles. The Diesel, S and S E-Hybrid technology have headlights Bi-Xenon lights with LED daytime points. The flagship Cayenne Turbo, is again, equipped with LED headlamps system with Porsche Dynamic Light System (PDLS).
The rear renewed Cayenne has finer luminaires, while the overall «remake» help new bumper and new exhaust tailpipes. The Porsche did not provide pictures of the inside of the renewed Cayenne, where they inform us that there is a new multi-function sports steering wheel with gearshift paddles, which originates from the 918 Spyder. Furthermore, they fitted new rear seats which can optionally be heated.
Improved is the system «auto stop-start function plus» and the thermal management of the engine, while for the first time the air vanes are actively used in a SUV, which optimizes the aerodynamic and hence consumption. New legislation has its chassis with Porsche promising even higher levels of comfort, without sacrificing the dynamism of the Cayenne.
New addition to the Cayenne range is the version S E-Hybrid. It uses the same parallel plug-in hybrid system with the Panamera and consists of an electric motor and a 95 hp 3I V6 turbo gasoline engine. The combined system output is 416 hp at 5,500 rpm, while maximum torque of 590 Nm is reached at 1,250 to 4,000 rpm.
The above values allow the hybrid Cayenne to make 0-100 km/hr in 5.4 seconds, while the top speed stands at 243 km/hr. The Porsche promises that the S E-Hybrid Electric can move at speeds up to 126 km/hr. Changes in the Cayenne S, which leaves behind the atmospheric V8 engine of 4.8 liters and 400 horsepower, for a twin-turbo V6 3.6 liter set, the validity of which is 420 hp.
New is the standard 8 speed automatic Tiptronic S, which allows the «S» to accelerate from standstill to 100 km/hr in 5.2 seconds, while it has a top speed of 257 km/hr.
