The Italian made the racing car that will be competing in the Super Trofeo championship in 2013. Based on the 2012 version, with improved aerodynamics and braking.
The Spanish circuit of Los Arcos, where it was held the final round of the Lamborghini Blancpain Super Trofeo 2012, has been the scene of the presentation of the new Lamborghini Gallardo LP 570-4 Super Trofeo 2013, the revamped version of the racing car of the house of Sant’Agata Bolognese. It was the president Stephan Winkelmann to do the honors of the company, removing the veils of the car.
The Gallardo 2013 is based on the frame and on the mechanical platform of the 2012 version, but with improved aerodynamics and braking. In particular, we have revised some surfaces of the body and appendices have been added such as the adjustable rear wing as the new variable incidence, with ten different positions available. In particular, the aerodynamic efficiency is improved by 120%, thanks to an increase of the load.
Even the braking will be even more incisive thanks to a redesign of the air intakes of the brakes that allow reducing the thermal stress by 50%. “We have made a decisive step forward – said Maurizio Reggiani, director of research and development – but the car is still in line with those that are the fundamental principles of our brand. The important thing is to make it grow, but the Super Trofeo championship should be a great appeal to drivers and customers. “
