The so-called head-up display, that is, the ability to view various types of information through the direct projection on the windshield, becomes today a technology within the reach of all the cars, even the cheapest ones and not just, as has happened so far on the expensive luxury sedans.
The news come from Garmin, which has created a special HUD which can display on the windscreen a large number of useful data, including those of the navigation system, during the trip, giving way to the driver to read the information without taking your eyes off the road ahead to the car.
The HUD projector connects via Bluetooth Garmin satellite navigation systems to the Swiss manufacturer and various models of smartphones, of course, after you install the Garmin Street Pilot 1 or Navigon app available for operating systems Apple’s iOS, Android and Windows Phone.
The power supply of the device is ensured by the cigarette lighter port present on cars, while the user is given the option to view information on the windshield or on a reflective lens with adhesive which allows it to be attached at the point where you prefer.
The Garmin HUD has been confirmed for the U.S., where it will be sold at $ 129.99, but it is also serving it arrival on the European markets, where it will be available at a price of about 100 euro.
