Turin will present the world premiere of the third generation of mini-SUV in the French automobile exhibition. The company comes with a new look and two available engines, one petrol and a diesel one.
There will also be a new Fiat at the next Paris Motor Show (29th of September till the 14th October): the new 4×4 Panda. The third generation of this mini-SUV will come with an all-wheel drive. It is the only model in the A segment, which seeks to combine urban agility with the ability to travel safely off-road. It will be available with two engines, one petrol and one diesel, both will be equipped with the Start & Stop system as standard.
The aesthetic is strongly characterized by pronounced geometric lines of the front and rear bumpers and it is completed with carry-aesthetic aluminium. Unlike the previous generation, the shanks of the new Panda 4×4 follows the line of the body without any solution of continuity, ensuring the complete protection of the lower part of the car. The interior, however, is characterized by fabric seats designed specifically in three different-color (green, beige, orange).
The two engines available on the mini-SUVs are the new 0.9 Turbo Twinair 85 bhp and the diesel 1.3 Multijet II 75 HP. Compared to the previous generation, driven from 1 .2 Fire, Twinair guarantees a 40% increase in torque (+30% on Multijet), coupled to the specific exchange with a 6-speed first gear which provides uphill improved starting ability, the quality of the cue plus elasticity and recovery.
