For the car body, the M Performance “package” includes the classical decorations striped in red, blue (the colors of BMW Motorsport) that are applied at an oblique design , the two bumpers, and a range of accessories in carbon fiber ( shells, mirrors , new rear spoiler , lower diffuser of new design). The kit is completed by the adoption of a set of 20 ” alloy wheels with specific design.

Equally interesting, in view of a further characterization of the previously exclusive BMW M5 and M6 are the other changes made by BMW Motorsport. It is, in this sense, the adoption of a new carbon-ceramic material braking system (with discs, six-piston calipers, 410 mm front and rear 396 mm) and an exclusive complete exhaust system, developed by “M” in collaboration with the Akrapovic technical partner. Made entirely of titanium (lighter than 10 kg compared to series) , the exhaust system keeps the two pairs of terminals, but significantly improves the characteristic sound of the V8 4.4.

The interior showcases the new steering wheel , covered in Alcantara with integrated display that graphically reproduces some driving information, such as an indication of the relationship and set lap times ( which may be registered ) and the values of lateral and longitudinal acceleration ; the new carbon coating for the central tunnel and the selector lever , and pedals in stainless steel.
