The third generation of this successful model will be unveiled at the next exhibition in Los Angeles. It will come with a more sporty style, without removing some traditional elements and it will be available with seven engines.
In the next exhibition in Los Angeles (November 30-December 9) will be unveiled and in the spring of 2013 it will be on sale in Europe (Which car?): the new Volkswagen Beetle Cabriolet. It’s the third generation of this four-seater convertible, which comes with a renovated aesthetic style and a fabric roof with electric opening which closes in ten seconds. It will be available at launch with seven engines.
This new version features a sportier and dynamic version, as evidenced by the new design language of the German company. The air intake below the bumper, the lower edge of the hood and the design of the rear lights reveal membership in the family, while the round shape of the headlamps is a reminder of the tradition of the Beetle. The interior is characterized by means of circular shape and the extra storage drawer. According to various tech blogs the dashboard will display the latest technology.
The range of petrol engines will be consisted of the 1.2 TSI 105 hp, available since the launch of the variant BlueMotion Technology, the 1.4 TSI with 160 PS and the 2.0 TSI 200 hp. The selection of diesel engines includes, however, the well-known 1.6 TDI (105 hp version is also BMT) and the 140 hp 2.0 TDI.
