After several spy photos, BMW ended the suspense, officially presenting the new Series 4 Gran Coupe. The new model will make its official debut at the Geneva Motor Show, to be held early next month. In particular, the dimensions of the new Series 4 Gran Coupe is 4.638 mm length, 1.825 mm width and wheelbase reaches 2,810 mm, exactly the same as the 2 door version, but the height of the first is 12 mm tallest, reaching a total of 112 mm. Also, the specificity of the model is that the hatchback configuration offers better access to the luggage compartment of 480 liters, while if the rear seats are folded, then the storage reaches 1,300 liters.
Apart from the few external design changes, the BMW Series 4 Gran Coupe has items from the Series 3 Sedan and Series 4 Coupe, while sharing the same mechanical assemblies. More specifically, the 428i will be fitted with the 2 liter 4 cylinder petrol engine of 240 hp and 345 Nm of torque, which allows the Gran Coupe to accelerate from a standstill and reach 100 km/hr in 5.7 seconds. The most powerful, 435i, with 3I 6 cylinder engine 300 horsepower and 406 Nm of torque, notes 0-100 km/hr in just 4.9 seconds.
Also, it is available and economical 2 liter engines, the 420i, 418d and 420d with 181, 141 and 181 horsepower respectively and future German firm is to grow its range of diesel engines. Finally, the new Series 4 Gran Coupe will go on sale this summer, while the public can get a first taste of near Geneva Motor Show in early March.
