A novelty for fans of high-performance cars, as Renault returns with a more racing version of Mégane. This is the new Renault Megane RS 275 Trophy will amaze you. The car, which will be available to order from early June at a price of 38,000 Euros, represents the latest evolution in a long series of limited editions for Mégane III: from the first Trophy in 2011, the Red Bull Racing RB7 of 2012 to the Red Bull Racing Rb8 of 2013.
At the level of the car body, the new Renault Megane RS 275 Trophy is notable for the adoption of elements chosen by Renault Sport to visually emphasize the exclusivity of this series, giving the car a decidedly sporty and muscular look. The livery is highlighted by a flashy Trophy sticker in platinum gray color: the same color is used for the Trophy double-sideband and it’s the eye-catching element of personalization of the mode. The main features of this version are also found just once the doors open. One of them is the fact that the door sill moldings are exclusive numbered.
Inside, the new Renault Megane RS 275 Trophy has been prepared in accordance with the classic dictates of a sportier: anatomical Recaro front seats that are upholstered in leather and Alcantara with red stitching (which are also repeated at the rear seat) and headrest marked with a Renault Sport sign; three-spoke sports steering wheel trim covered in Alcantara and a Zama gear lever knob.
Equally interesting, especially for fans of the high performance Renault models is the setting powertrain. The new Renault Megane RS 275 Trophy is equipped with the 2-liter petrol engine of the Megane Rs, that thanks to the interventions of the technicians it delivers 10 hp more, ie 275 hp at 6,800 rev/min and 360 Nm of torque between 3,000 and 5,000 rev/min. The more power that is generated, promises Renault, has no effect on fuel consumption and emissions: Renault declares a cycle consumption with an average of 7.5 liters of gasoline per 100 km and 174 g/km of CO2 emissions.
The high power available for the new Renault Megane RS 275 Trophy is helped to discharge without causing any skidding of the front axle by the adoption of a series of limited-slip differential. The car’s sporty character is further underlined by the exclusive exhaust system with titanium terminals, developed by Renault Sport in collaboration with the specialist Akrapovic.
