The great demand for this car, with already 88,000 copies sold in one year has ‘forced’ the English company to increase the production capacity of the factory in Halewood, taking onboard about 1,000 employees.
The great success of the Range Rover Evoque has forced the English house to an increase in the production of this car. From last night, in fact, the factory in Halewood works for the full course of the day, 24 hours without stopping. In March, just to increase the production capacity, there were hired about 1,000 employees achieving a total figure of 4,500 workers.
“The new recruits have worked hard in the last few months of training, and many of them have also played a few rounds at night in the month of July in order to be immediately ready – said Richard Else, operations manager of the factory – I am pleased to welcome these new colleagues to help us meet the demands of our customers. ”
The Evoque, which was launched in July 2011, has already sold 88,000 vehicles in 170 markets where it is present. The following five-door and coupe version is available in three trim levels: Pure (the base), Dynamic and Prestige (the finest). In the European market, the price of the Evoque starts from 36,050 euro which can exceed 50,000 euros with the top model.
