The Paris Motor Show 2012, which is open to the press today and Saturday with free access to the public, has a new guest from Audi: the Crosslane Coupe. It is a new concept car, which is dedicated “to youth and sports customers “, with the roof removed and a plug-in hybrid motor. The car was carried out with the Multimaterial Space Frame solution: done with a mix of aluminum, composite material of carbon fiber and fiberglass, to make lighter the car.

The unladen weight mass is in fact 1,390 kg (lithium batteries included) for this 2 +2 places with a length of 4.21 meters, a width of 1.88 meters, a height of 1.51 meters and a step of 2.56 meters. The design foreshadows the future of Q models of the company with the four rings with the single-frame grille that dominates the front end.

At the technical level, this concept car is powered by a three cylinder 1.5-liter TFSI 130 hp engine and two electric engines (one from 68 hp and one 116 hp). The total power of the system is 177 horsepower and it can accelerate from 0 to 100 km / h in 8.6 seconds, with a top speed of 182 km / h. The average fuel consumption is amounted to only 1.1 liters per 100 km. It can travel in all-electric mode for about 86 km.
