The Honda CR-V is now in its fourth generation, with a story that began in 1995 and with increasing success, as well as that of the SUV segment. The new version is small, given the general trend of downsizing, but this did not alter the interior of the car, where they can always safely be seated five people. In addition it has been increased by 147 liters space for the load.
At the aesthetic level, the CR-V offers a more aggressive and square look, giving more attention to European customers, with the introduction of LED lights. A particular attention is given to the interior with ergonomic seats, spaciousness and better soundproofing, set up with a sound isolating material, placed in the floor under the passenger compartment and it comes double-sealed doors. Two engines are available for this model: the 2.0-liter petrol i-VTEC 155 hp 2WD or 4WD and 4WD 2.2 i-DTEC diesel with 150 hp. The the evolution of the previous generation engines comes with more attention to fuel consumption and emissions. On the petrol version now it is present the ‘Econ’, function for a more regular increase of the torque and therefore and it also has a greater efficiency of the fuel.
One of the major strengths of the CR-V is given by the technology, in particular for the driver assistance systems. Among the most interesting are the Adaptive Cruise Control and Lane Keeping Assist System. The first maintains constant speed and automatically brakes if the distance to the car ahead of us over the edge is reduced, while the other is detected if you are going to leave the lane and automatically applies at a corrective steering.
