The Swedish company will present this new model at the upcoming Paris Motor Show. Lowered chassis, sporty character and with the same engines available for the new V40.
Among the new features of the upcoming Paris Motor Show (September 29 to October 14), there is also the new Volvo V40 R-Design. It’s the sports version of the new generation of C-segment car, with the lowered chassis and the same engine planned for the V40. “The meticulous attention to detail – says the Swedish company – characterizes the expressive line of the car’s agility and precise response.”
The front section of the R-Design is distinguished by its shiny grille framed by decorative moldings in brushed metal finish. Its sporty character is further underlined by a diffuser in colored ironstone, from the details with satin finish and dual exhaust pipes. The car is completed by the profile wheels (17 “or 18”) with a five-spoke diamond cut. In addition to the new shade Blue Rebel, the body will be available in six other colors.
The interior is characterized by trimmed seats in black Nubuck and perforated leather, with the R-Design logo embroidered in blue. Also included are the steering wheel, gear lever, handbrake and sports pedals of special design. As mentioned, the R-Design can be combined with all the engines available for the new Volvo V40, from the D2 diesel 115 hp with CO2 emissions of 94 g / km (3.6 l/100 km) to the T5 turbo engine high-performance 254 hp motor.
