The French car has been awarded by the readers of Auto Bild and a jury of experts and it is the tenth time that the transalpine company receives this recognition. The sedan has arrived in Europe in October.
If Ferrari F12berlinetta was awarded the prize for the coupe / convertible, the new Renault Clio touches the ‘Golden Steering Wheel 2012’ among small cars. The award, presented by the German magazine Auto Bild and Bild am Sonntag weekly, was delivered in Berlin Stefan Mueller by the director of operations in the region of Europe. The vote came from readers and a panel of experts, after testing the Balocco track.
It’s the tenth time that the Renault car, receives this award: it had previously been obtained by Fuego coupe (1980), the Renault 9 (1981) in the compact segment, the luxury sedan Renault 25 (1984), Clio (1990 ), the second-generation Espace (1991), the compact Renault 19 (1992), the third and fourth generation Espace (1997 and 2002) and the compact MPV Scénic (2009).
After the official launch at the Paris Motor Show, the fourth generation of the Clio arrived in the European dealerships over the weekend of 20 and 21 October, with the doors open. It came with 4 available engines and an interesting new feature: the ability to add the tablet integrated and customizable R-Link. The prices range from 13,500 € for the entry-level model, up to 17,500 € for the top of the range.
