Land Rover continues to celebrate the 25th anniversary of its model Discovery, giving its customers the opportunity to enrich the English 4×4 with a range of accessories and luxury finishes, borrowed from the recent and refined version of the special, called Discovery Special Edition XXV.
Available from September, the news that related to Discovery include the ability to customize the exterior of the car with four new liveries devoted to the body with the colours of Causeway Grey, Santorini Black, Fuji White and Indus Silver, not to mention the possibility of opting for frames of the grid and the mirror caps painted in Narvik Black and Dark Atlas, matched to the same grid and the air vents on the fenders. The car can also be enriched with silver handrails, door handles painted in body color and stainless steel protection plate dedicated to the bumper and alal collection of alloy wheels adds the new set of 20-inch five double-spoke design with polished-silver finish.
Like the exterior, the interior can also receive the exclusive treatment of the XXV Special Edition version, characterized by the presence of the Windsor leather – available in the colors of: ebony, cirrus and two-tone Ebony/Cirrus – for the the dashboard and at the top of the doors. The range of accessories is completed by the steering wheel that is trimmed in wood and leather and the woven mats of specific fleece.
From the technological point of view, Discovery will debut the new and sophisticated platform Land Rover InControlTM Apps, which will enrich and complete the side of a connected car by Land Rover. The InControl Apps allows the smartphone app – which has been optimized specifically for use in the car – to be viewed and controlled in a simple and intuitive way by using the touch screen of the vehicle.
To take advantage of the platform all you have to do is simply download the Land Rover InControlTM App on your smartphone that is compatible with operating systems of iOS and Android, and connect it to the USB port indicated. Apart from this app, there are also other ones compatible with this platform, such as Stitcher, Glympse, Sygic, Parkopedia, Hotelseeker, Cityseeker, Eventseeker, News on Board and MobileDay which allows you to use voice calls, without the need to dial a number.
