Seat abandoned the image of sports brand to look for the relaunch. In the program there are also two crossovers in the next three years. Seat also follow the example of other manufacturers and will shortly make its own crossover. To reveal the intentions of the Spanish brand, Volkswagen has been checked by Jurgen Stackmann, the president appointed to lead Seat in April. Speaking to the press, Stackmann explained that the launch of a crossover Seat is one of its priorities, stating that the actual brand is not to build sports cars, as attempted in recent years but without much success, nor to be a niche manufacturer.

The course of Seat in the coming years will probably see the manufacturer committed to diversifying its range going to cover almost every segment of the market, ranking it as a brand general all-round to try to increase sales. Regarding the future crossover there are official indications. The model should inspire the lines of the Seat IBX concept and should be built based on the MQB modular platform, the same that will be used for several models of the Volkswagen Group in the coming years.

The size of the future arrived could be similar to those of her cousin Tiguan, which would be to share some of the technical heritage. The market launch is expected in about a year, but some would like the model followed by a second crossover inspired by the Volkswagen Taigun and, like the latter, ready to land on the market in three years.
